Dr. Stephen M. Perry, D.D.S
Dr. Perry graduated from Northwestern in 1973. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and is passionate about providing the best dental care and experience for every patient. Dr. Perry has been part of the Boulder community since 1980. He enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding.
Dr. Dale Roberts, DDS
Dr. Roberts grew up in the Denver area and has been practicing and living in Colorado for the last twenty -three years. He has two children, Lauren and Jack. Lauren is attending the University of Colorado here in Boulder, his son Jack is a freshman in high school. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his kids, trail running, hiking and climbing as well as pursuing his passion for drawing and painting.
Dr. Roberts has been committed to providing outstanding dental care with a genuine compassion and caring for his patients. He has extensive training and experience in cosmetic dentistry as well as full mouth reconstruction. Dr. Roberts believes that the experience of visiting the dentist can be a comfortable and pleasant experience. Really listening to the wants and needs of the patient has been one of his main goals over the years in practice.
Dr. Christopher Frederick, DMD
Dr. Frederick first moved to Colorado from his hometown of Mankato, Minnesota to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder where he studied Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Upon graduating in 1998, Dr. Frederick spent several years in various career paths ranging from stock brokerage to raft guiding before finding the perfect fit in the profession of dentistry. Dr. Frederick left Colorado to attend Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia and after graduating moved back to Boulder to begin practice as a general dentist. An avid snowboarder, whitewater kayaker, and mountain biker, when not in the office he can often be found playing in the mountains, often with his dog Kody in tow.
Dr. Luis A. Gomez, DMD
Dr. Gomez received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry and a post-doctoral degree in Periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 1989 he was appointed Assistant Professor at Temple University School of Dental Medicine, and in 1994 he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. His responsibilities included course director, clinical training of doctoral and post-doctoral students, comprehensive treatment planning, didactic courses and the development of quality grading systems. He was a long-standing member of the admissions committee for doctoral and post doctoral programs, the clinical review board, faculty search, and the clinical management system committee. Before relocating to Colorado in 1998 his clinical practice experience included a general practice residency, private general practice, practice limited to Periodontics, and a multi-specialty group practice. Dr. Gomez is a partner in Colorado Dental Healthcare Specialists and is dedicated to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.

Blog Contributor – Dr. Sondra Fields
Sondra Wynne Fields received her doctorate from The Union Institute in the combined fields of Gerontology and Women’s Studies with concentrations in Communications. As part of her doctoral work Sondra spent five years studying and journeying to sacred lands with an elder Huichol Indian wise woman and healer, Guadalupe de la Cruz Rios. Her Project Demonstrating Excellence which incorporates the Doctoral Dissertation, Crossing Rivers: Two Journeys into the Heart of Old Woman, tells the story of how these two women meet, cross cultures, and inform each other’s journey. Exploration into the Women’s Mysteries associated with old age was the focus of her research.
After receiving her B.S. in Elementary Education Sondra taught Kindergarten and First Grade. While obtaining her M.A. in Educational Psychology she worked with emotionally disturbed and neurologically impaired adolescents. Having taught young children and adolescents, being a young middle-aged adult herself, she figured her next area of learning was old age. She began this exploration with Dana Home Care, the first Home Care agency in Boulder, Colorado based on the contemplative Buddhist perspective of skillful means, mindfulness and attention to detail.
Sondra continued her work with elders, primarily women, for over two decades and has produced over 70 locally and nationally broadcast radio programs pertaining to the subjects of women and/or aging. You can learn more about Sondra and her work at www.cornmother.com.
Currently, at home in the mountains above Boulder, Colorado Sondra is working on a book describing her work. When not writing or lecturing on her favorite topic, the value of the Wise Old Woman, she can be found hiking mountain trails, sitting beside waterfalls and dancing in her beloved Rocky Mountains.
